Character and Production Development

The right equipment can become an essential part of a character’s identity. A particular jacket, weapon, uniform or piece of field equipment can establish a character’s background, role and personality before a word is spoken.

TACDEV works with creative teams to research, source, and assemble these elements with close attention to period, function, environment and visual continuity. Our role may begin with an individual item or extend to the development of a complete character or production-wide equipment package.

Product Placement and Manufacturer Access

Our established relationships with manufacturers and specialized suppliers provide productions with access to current, discontinued and difficult-to-source products from around the world.

We also help manufacturers identify appropriate opportunities for their products to appear in film, television, video games, advertising and other media. A well-selected placement can introduce a product to new audiences while contributing to the credibility of the production.

Advertising and Corporate Media

TACDEV supports defense, aerospace, public-safety and corporate campaigns requiring authentic uniforms, equipment, communications systems, vehicles and supporting props.

When requested, we can also help coordinate experienced former military and public-safety professionals for on-camera roles and technical guidance. This combination of accurate equipment and practical experience helps productions avoid common visual and procedural mistakes.
